Nick Devine LLB Solicitor Advocate, Criminal law specialist Email Nick

Nick is a respected criminal advocate with many years of experience. Since acquiring his higher rights of audience, Nick has been in regular attendance in crown courts across the country over the last 10 years. He has also made a number of successful appearances in the court of appeal.

More recently, Nick acted in the role of junior counsel in an eight week murder trial in which the client was acquitted of murder. Other matters Nick has had success with include serious assault matters, rape and theft charges.

Martin qualified as a solicitor in 1989. He has specialised in criminal law since 1990 and has worked at a number of firms in Leamington, Coventry and Rugby, before setting up his own successful practice in 2006 in Leamington. Martin joined Devine O'Keeffe in July 2013, bringing with him his vast experience in criminal litigation.

He is a higher rights advocate and has represented clients in all types of criminal matters at the Police Station, Magistrates Court and Crown Court

Paul qualified as a solicitor in 1997 and has practiced criminal law since that time dealing with a wide and varied caseload.

During this period, a whole range of experience has been gained in all areas of criminal litigation. This includes advising on matters in the police station, magistrates court and having higher rights of audience in the Crown Court.

Cases dealt with include both white and blue collar crime, including serious fraud matters, murders, manslaughters, serious sexual offences including historic rape allegations and all matters of dishonesty offences and motoring cases.

When not working Paul likes to exercise at the gym and regularly enters 10k road races to try and keep relatively fit.

Cath McMillan LLB Solicitor, Criminal law specialist

In 1980 Cath obtained a Diploma in Magisterial law. She worked as a Senior Legal Adviser to Magistrates before qualifying as a solicitor in 1986. Since that time Cath has been defending clients across the Midlands and has developed a very large and loyal following, particularly in the Coventry area. Cath is a duty solicitor on both the police station and courts scheme in Leamington Spa. She also represents clients in the Crown Court.

Lucy qualified as a Solicitor in 1996, and has practiced as a criminal defence advocate and Duty Solicitor in Exeter then Warwick, and more recently Leamington Spa. She is the fourth generation of lawyers in her family! Lucy is a highly experienced, committed and personable advocate and is well regarded by her clients and other professionals for her caring and down to earth and very practical way of dealing with matters. Throughout her career she has built a reputation amongst her clients of being plain talking and pragmatic in her approach, giving straightforward and direct advice - something clients value highly.

Lucy has the experience to deal with all types of matters before the Court and in the Police Station, ranging from minor motoring offences to very serious offences such as rape, sexual assaults, robbery, manslaughter and murder. She appears in the local Magistrates' Court on a regular basis, and spends the rest of her working hours assisting and advising clients in the Police Station at any time of day or night.

In her spare time Lucy enjoys being outdoors at every opportunity be it skiing, riding, sailing, mountain biking, or anything other sporting activity that's not inside!
